CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION AT ERINDALE COLLEGE 2015
Erindale College is an approved Cambridge International School and has been offering students the opportunity to follow the Cambridge International curriculum since 2015. As the first public education school in Australia to be granted this status by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), we are proud to form part of a network of more than 10,000 Cambridge schools in over 160 countries worldwide.
The Cambridge International program allows students access to a rigorous and internationally recognised curriculum and suite of qualifications. In offering the Cambridge International program we aim to equip the students of the Tuggeranong Valley, and Canberra more broadly, for the challenges they face in completing their secondary education and in graduating to further study or employment in the rapidly changing global context. Indeed, Cambridge International Examinations prioritises the development of students who are:
* Confident in working with information and ideas – their own and those of others
* Responsible for themselves, responsible to and respectful of others
* Reflective as learners, developing their ability to learn
* Innovative and equipped for new and future challenges
* Engaged intellectually and socially, ready to make a difference

Continued Success in our Cambridge Programs
We have received our results from the November 2017 examination series for both International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the ‘A’ Level examinations. IGCSE exams are presented to Year 11 students in other countries however, our students sit these exams as Year 10 students. Students who sit the ‘A’ Level examinations are completing Year 13 in overseas countries but our candidates sit the exams in Year 12. Both candidacy groups from Erindale College therefore, have had one year less to prepare for these exams and hence, their achievements can only be considered as sensational.
Congratulations to our top performing students in the IGCSE exams, with two students receiving an A* award which places them in the top few per cent of candidates from around the world.
Congratulations also to those other students who sat the IGCSE exams and who recorded B and C grades as these are also worthy of celebration.
Congratulations to our ‘A’ level examination candidate who can rate her results alongside her extremely high Australian Admission Rank (ATAR) with extreme pride.
After their success in the IGCSE a number of students are undertaking the Cambridge A/S options in Year 11 and also the ‘A’ levels in Year 12. In 2018 we are offering English Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Global Perspectives and Research. We have 3 students who are continuing with their A/S level and are currently planning to sit their ‘A’ level exams in Mathematic, Physics and Chemistry.
