Indigenous Leadership Program

Indigenous Leadership Program artwork The Indigenous Leadership Program at Erindale College empowers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to strengthen their identity, build confidence and develop the skills required to lead with purpose in a changing world. Grounded in culture, community and connection, the program meets students where they are and supports them to grow as confident learners, leaders and advocates. A strong sense of belonging and cultural pride underpins all learning, with student voice at the heart of the program.

Through authentic learning experiences in the classroom and beyond, students engage with Elders, community organisations and cultural mentors to explore leadership through Indigenous ways of knowing, being and doing. Learning extends onto Country and into the community, breaking down barriers and opening doors to meaningful pathways. Students are supported to see themselves as capable leaders—within their communities, their careers and their futures.

Students participating in the Indigenous Leadership Program have access to a wide range of opportunities at Erindale College, including:

Through these experiences, students develop the skills, knowledge and attributes to lead with integrity, resilience and purpose—today and into the future.
